Scrapmetal Board Track Racer Finished
Over the last couple of weeks I got so busy finishing this project I forgot to take any more progress shots. But at last, this morning, it is finished. It has come out every bit as good as I was hoping except for the paint. The cream colour is an auto enamel and was perfect. Then I brought the tank inside into the warmth to do the sign writing and pinstriping by hand in a Tamiya red enamel paint and again all was fine. And then when I was sure the red was very dry, I very lightly sprayed with an auto enamel clear and the red paint went crazy. From a distance, it looks antique but up close it just looks like shit so when I get some time I'll completely repaint the tanks. Apart from that, I'm very happy with the end result. By the way, it ended up being 580mm long, 260mm tall and a whopping 8 yes 8 kilo's in weight
